Dr. Alison Luke and I were featured in this article where we shared our Co-designing dementia diagnosis and post-diagnostic care (COGNISANCE) dementia research project. The article provided local diagnosed dementia statistics and included how to contact our team as we look for New Brunswickers who have recently been diagnosed with dementia. The goal of this research is to improve the diagnosis process for patients and their caregivers. Managing chronic conditions during the pandemic. With this interview, Dr. Kerrie Luck and I shared our research on patients with chronic health conditions and how they navigated the
health care system and their care during the Covid-19 pandemic. We shared insights from our
patient interviews, our qualitative analysis methods and findings to date. Our research was

Jul 18, 2020 Telegraph Journal. Topic - Researchers dig into Covid 19’s impact on those with chronic
disease. One of the postdoctoral fellows that I supervise, Dr. Kerry Luck, Dr. Alison Luke, and I ave been researching the impact of Covid-19 on patients with chronic health conditions. This article highlighted our findings to date through patient interviews. The article also referenced that we were one of the thirteen UNB projects that received funding through the joint call of the New Brunswick Innovation Foundation (NBIF), the New Brunswick Health Research Foundation (NBHRF) and the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency for research projects to better understand and address the challenges created by the Covid-19 pandemic. Co-designing dementia diagnosis and post-diagnostic care (COGNISANCE). As co-lead of this
international research project, I shared updates on the project in New Brunswick and
internationally. One of the team’s caregiver partners was also interviewed to share her
experiences with dementia care. This project aims to design, deliver, and evaluate an
awareness campaign to improve how primary care providers diagnose and support persons
with dementia and their care partners. This research is embedded in a larger, international
funded project co-led by teams in Canada, Australia, Netherlands, United Kingdom, and
